The HGTV 2024 Dream Home on Anastasia Island in St. Augustine has been controversial because a seawall was built without a city permit, extending five feet beyond St. Augustine's ordinance codes.

The HGTV "Dream House" project in St. Johns County is facing a minor hitch. The developer is asking for permission to build something that's already been built.

Discovery is joining the increasingly crowded streaming fray with its own reality-focused service Discovery Plus that will include shows from the Food Network, HGTV, TLC and its other networks. By comparison, the ad-free Disney Plus costs $7 a month and Netflix' most popular plan costs $14 a month. Discovery CEO David Zaslav first announced the streaming service in late 2019, but did not provide details until now. Discovery Plus joins a slew of new streaming services started to challenge traditional TV providers and dominant streaming services like Hulu and Netflix over the past year, including Disney Plus, Apple TV Plus, HBO Max and Comcast’s Peacock service. The service will role out in 25 countries in 2021 including Italy, Spain, U.K. and Ireland as well as India.

The cultural significance of the house, says Susan Olsen, who played Cindy Brady, "started hitting me at first when everybody was texting me, going 'Don't you want to buy the house? No -- why would I want to live in a house that has Brady fans going by every day? "They didn't purchase the house under some great plan," says Christopher Knight, who played Peter Brady. All they knew was they're just getting to know 'Brady' better by talking to us. "But to do that you had to have the stairway, and if you had the stairway, how do you not destroy the front elevation -- which is what America thinks of the Brady house," says Knight.

Granted, the very fact that people (including yours truly) feel compelled to write about HGTV -- the network airing "The Brady Bunch" renovation show -- likely counts as a victory. Neither show really works, though, in part because they don't just dabble in nostalgia, but essentially wallow in it. That's the answer that "A Very Brady Renovation" never fully answers, despite the renovators obsessing over the small details, and the dutiful "Wow!" For many, "The Brady Bunch" was a part of childhood, back when blended families seemed more exotic, and an architect dad could comfortably support six kids. "A Very Brady Renovation" premieres September 9 at 9 p.m. on HGTV.

Maureen McCormick and several of her former Brady Bunch co-stars recently completed work recreating the family's home from the beloved sitcom as part of HGTV's new series,A Very Brady Renovation. Since the show was shot on a sound stage, the famed Brady House was just used for the exterior shots, meaning the inside looked nothing like sitcom abode. "I've heard that everybody's house prices have gone up in the neighborhood," McCormick shared. (CNN) - It turns out that, for the surviving cast members of "The Brady Bunch," you can go home again. "I didn't learn where this house was until 1996," admitted Christopher Knight, who played Peter Brady, during the TCA session. Barry Williams, who played the eldest Brady offspring Greg, had actually visited the residence several years ago -- although his pilgrimage there was entirely unplanned. They said, 'Well, you're in the Brady house!' "I had such an affinity for this house," confessed Maureen McCormick, who played Marcia Brady.

Tarek El Moussa got a heads up about his ex's new pregnancy. ET's Lauren Zima spoke with Christina Anstead at her baby shower at Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, California, on Sunday, where she revealed that she gave her ex-husband a courtesy call that she was expecting a baby with her new husband, Ant Anstead.
