MIDDLEBURG, Fla. – Three members of the U.S. Army Black Daggers were a sight to see in Middleburg Tuesday morning as they saluted health care workers by jumping from a plane. At exactly 9 a.m. three members of the elite parachute demonstration team jumped from a plane above Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay. More than 100 people watched the thrilling jump meant to salute front line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Joshua Porter, who has served in the military for 13 years, is a member of the Black Daggers and had his father, grandmother and grandfather at Tuesday’s demonstration. The U.S. Army Black Daggers are also scheduled to salute health care workers at Southeast Georgia Health System in St. Marys at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

HAWAII – When five Hawaii fisherman took to sea, they had one goal in mind: feeding their local health care workers. One of the fishermen was Kyle Nakamoto, the executive producer of the diving show Hawaii Skin Diver TV, who told CNN the lucky group caught two yellowfin tuna totaling 220 pounds. "We are so grateful for all the donations we have received for our health care workers. Giving away two whole yellowfin tuna is a really big thing, this is top of the line, grade-A tuna. The group also filmed an episode for Hawaii Skin Diver TV showing their journey catching the tuna for health care workers.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Nike is donating thousands of sneakers to health care workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic. The company has partnered with the nonprofit Good360 to deliver 30,000 shoes to workers in Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis and New York. Sneakers are also being sent to hospitals across Europe. Nike says it is sending the Air Zoom Pulse, a shoe designed specifically for someone who would be on their feet for long shifts. The company is also sending 95,000 pairs of mild compression socks to New York and Los Angeles.

ATLANTA, Ga. (AP) – A photo of health care professionals from Georgia on a Southwest plane on their way to help with the coronavirus outbreak in New York is getting lots of love online. It’s been shared by tens of thousands on Facebook and Twitter, with many comments praising the health care workers for their bravery. An Atlanta ramp agent took the photo of the health care workers, other passengers, and flight crew before the plane pushed back from the gate on Friday, Southwest Airlines spokesman Derek K. Hubbard said on Sunday. There were about 30 health care professionals, including nurses, all from Atlanta-area hospitals, who were on the regularly scheduled flight to LaGuardia Airport, Hubbard said. “These brave souls soldier on in the midst of tremendous risk and exposure, constantly putting the needs of others above their own,” Southwest Airlines wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday.
