JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It’s the quarter point of the NFL season. The Dolphins annihilated Jacksonville, but I’d have to say that I’m disappointed that this team isn’t at least 2-2. Are the Jaguars closer to being a good team or closer to being a team in need of a full-on rebuild? CP: Overall, I think this team is on the way to being good in a year or two. Can you look at those games right now and think Jacksonville will be favored in any of those?

Those are just a few of the questions News4Jax Sports Editor Justin Barney fielded during Tuesday’s Ask Me Anything. A lot of youth on this year’s Jaguars team and I think that inexperience is going to continue to show. I think a 5- or 6-win season is in the cards in 2020 for the Jaguars. Justin: I think it’s too early to say he’s overmatched or that he’s a franchise QB. Justin: I’ll take the Jaguars this week and hope that the coaching staff has corrected that pitiful effort against the Dolphins.

I don’t know of an NFL team that has undergone the training camp issues that the Jaguars have. Get those young players some experience and build on that next year. They basically are starting from scratch and letting their young players show what they can do. JB: I said 5-11 during training camp and I’ll stay with that mark, even with the training camp carnage. The worst Jaguars team in franchise history was the Mike Mularkey-coached team in 2012, a squad that went 2-14.
