The Jacksonville Jaguars will return to “Monday Night Football” for the first time in 12 years when they host the Cincinnati Bengals in the coveted primetime spot to end the Week 13 schedule.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Jaguars have elected not to pick up the fifth-year option on linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson.

Falling into a 2-6 hole near the midpoint of a season is usually a recipe to look to the future for NFL teams, with only two teams ever climbing out of that hole to reach the postseason.

On Tuesday, Jacksonville placed starting guard Ben Bartch and reserve linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson on injured reserve after both suffered knee injuries.

Jacksonville (1-3) could be down three more defensive regulars against the Texans (0-4). The team could get a boost with the return of starting safety Jarrod Wilson (hamstring). Wilson and linebacker Quincy Williams (core muscle injury) were moved from the IR designated for return list to the 53-man roster Saturday.
