The woman who admitted to kidnapping Kamiyah Mobley when she was a baby is asking a judge to throw out her judgment and sentence. Gloria Williams pleaded guilty in 2018 to the 1998 kidnapping of a baby from a Jacksonville hospital. She was sentenced to 18-years in prison, one year for every year Mobley was without her biological family.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested Monday and accused in connection with a Jacksonville double murder in March.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A woman convicted of kidnapping a newborn baby from a Jacksonville hospital over 20 years ago tried to convince an appeals court to reduce her 18-year sentence. The appeals court agreed with the attorneys, finding that there is no arguable issue for reversal of Williams' sentence, and adding that her arguments were meritless and the sentence was lawful.
