The Oscars ceremony date was the big lingering unknown, however. Now, Oscars nominations will be announced on March 15 and the nominees luncheon will be on April 15. Further, the future eligibility of films for the 94th Oscars and that show date will be announced later. The eligibility window was extended beyond 12 months once before in advance of the 6th Academy Awards in 1934.

Fresh Off the Boat has been canceled after six seasons on ABC, bringing an end to TVs longest-running broadcast series about an Asian-American family. According to court records obtained by ET, neither Mike nor his ex, Laura Kaeppeler Fleiss, appeared at a scheduled restraining order hearing on Tuesday. Could season 24 finally be the one to feature a black Bachelor? Air Force veteran Mike Johnson from Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette is many fans' -- and cast members' -- pick to become the first black Bachelor. During an interview with ET last week, ABC exec Rob Mills said that Johnson was "absolutely in contention" for the job. Mills also noted, however, that the next Bachelor selection depends on how things play out with the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, which premieres on Monday. "We don't start [filming The Bachelor] until September, and don't forget Colton [Underwood] and Nick [Viall] came from Bachelor in Paradise.
