The Emmys on Sunday had plenty of fun moments and two hosts who gently mocked themselves.

There is something for everyone at the movies this summer, both in theaters and streaming at home.

James Caan, the curly-haired tough guy known to movie fans as the hotheaded Sonny Corleone of “The Godfather” and to television audiences as the dying football player in the classic weeper “Brian’s Song” and the casino boss in “Las Vegas,” has died.

On the former, an anthology series bringing together characters from Stephen Kings literary universe, Caplan plays Annie Wilkes, a role first originated onscreen by Kathy Bates in the 1990 film Misery. I think weve made our Annie different, Caplan told ET in October about her portrayal, adding that she hopes her version will enhance fans ongoing experience with the character. When asked if she had reached out to Bates about playing Annie, the actress said she has had no contact with her.
