According to the Sheriff’s Office, off-duty officers were in the area of King and Forbes streets about 2 a.m. when they heard multiple gunshots. They said their friend was shot and killed after a fight during a night out. (WJXT)“It is surprising,” said Pope Wilson, who has lived in Riverside for 25 years and knows how packed the King Street area gets on the weekends. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500.
