Reality television star Ashley Ross, known as Ms. Minnie on Lifetime's "Little Women: Atlanta," died Monday from injuries sustained in a car accident, her publicist Liz Dixson told CNN. Ross was involved in an accident in Atlanta around 11 p.m. Sunday and died nearly 24 hours later at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Dixson said. She was an advocate for St. Jude and young women," Dixson said. "It is with profound sadness that we confirm on behalf of the family of Ashley Ross aka 'Ms Minnie' of Little Women Atlanta has succumbed to injuries from a tragic hit and run car accident today at the age of 34," the statement said. CNN has not been able to confirm that the deadly accident Ross was involved in was a hit-and-run and has reached out to police for more information.

A new movie depicting killer Chris Watts and the gruesome murders of his pregnant wife and two daughters is causing controversy within the grieving family. A just-released trailer for Lifetime's "Chris Watts: Confessions of a Killer" shows the actor portraying Watts kissing his wife, Shanann, playing with his children, Bella and Cece, and being questioned by police. Watts admitted to strangling Shanann and burying her body in a shallow grave and smothering his daughters before dumping their bodies in oil tanks. Shanann’s family says what they've seen of the movie is disturbing and they were never contacted by producers. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The story of Kamiyah Mobley, the Jacksonville girl kidnapped as a newborn and raised by her abductor under an assumed identity, will premiere before a national television audience this weekend. Produced by ABC News journalist Robin Roberts, “Stolen By My Mother: The Kamiyah Mobley Story” chronicles Mobley’s extraordinary life. It will be followed by Roberts’ interview with Mobley, who is now 21 years old. Despite being reunited with her biological mother, Shanara, life as Mobley knew it was turned upside down. A year later, Lifetime is readying a follow-up series, “ Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning, ” with one major difference: this time, R. Kelly will be behind bars when it airs. “Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning” will premiere Thursday on Lifetime. That groundbreaking hip-hop group toured with R. Kelly and Maynes was initially approached by the documentary makers about what he witnessed on the road. In an interview with The Associated Press, he connected R. (CNN) - Described as a "ripped from the headlines" movie, Lifetime's "The College Admissions Scandal" is "inspired by" the Varsity Blues cheating and bribery story, which gets at the truth of the issues in occasionally heavy-handed but overall, kind of delicious fashion. Yet at its best, the movie effectively illustrates the cynical calculus that these parents made, as well as the rationalizations employed to justify their actions. Granted, those who tune in hoping for some tidbit about the most famous names caught up in the scandal -- actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin among them -- won't find them here. "The College Admissions Scandal" is the kind of modest, quick-turnaround effort that won't win any prizes; still, in terms of shining a light on that part of the story, it scores a passing grade the old-fashioned way: By earning it. "The College Admissions Scandal" airs Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. on Lifetime.

The college admissions scandal is being dramatized for Lifetime. In a press release on Tuesday, the network announced that it plans to release a two-hour film about the real-life scandal, for which both Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman have been charged. "College Admissions Scandal will follow two wealthy mothers who share an obsession with getting their teenagers into the best possible college. Lifetime has announced plans to air a movie about NXIVM, a purported self-help group in New York, which has been called a cult and a pyramid scheme. The film, which has a working title of NXIVM Cult: A Mothers Nightmare, will focus on the real-life story of Catherine Oxenberg, who fought to save her daughter, India, from the organization. The news comes less than two weeks after the organizations founder, Keith Raniere, was found guilty on seven counts including sex trafficking, racketeering and conspiracy charges. Twilight star Peter Facinelli has been cast as Raniere, while Sara Fletcher will star as his associate, Allison Mack, who is also known for her role in TV series, Smallville.
