The adjacent businesses, now in the collapse zone, are facing significant financial losses as they are unable to operate. The impact of the fire extends beyond the immediate closures, with downtown development plans being delayed. As the fire-damaged building awaits demolition, businesses struggle with road closures and the costs are quickly adding up. Despite the losses, business owners express gratitude for the efforts of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department and urge support from the community to help mitigate the financial impact.
