Truck drivers across the region hit the roads on Sunday to honor a fellow driver and bring attention to an important state law.

Dozens of tow truck drivers are preparing to drive across the Acosta Bridge to bring awareness to Florida’s ‘Move Over Law’ while honoring one of their own who died after being hit on the job.

A veteran St. Johns County sheriff’s deputy is recovering after getting hit by a minibus during a traffic stop last week, leaving him with a broken hand and injured shoulder. Now he’s preaching a valuable lesson about Florida’s Move Over Law, which he says the driver who hit him violated.
