The reason? She had ingested an 18โณ sock or stocking, causing a significant blockage in her stomach. Remarkably, she endured two weeks without eating before her owner sought veterinary assistance.Unfortunately, the financial burden of the necessary veterinary treatment led to her return to the shelter.Fortunately, she underwent emergency surgery and is currently recuperating. Once she regains her strength and fully heals, she will be ready for adoption.

Nassau Humane Society is the animal control agency for the City of Fernandina Beach, and Nassau County Animal Services is the agency for all other parts of the county.
