A troubling trend is emerging; children today spend a staggering 35% less time playing outside freely than their parents did. In fact, kids have never spent less time playing outside. Increased screen time, safety concerns, and urbanization are some of the reasons why a majority of kids spend more time indoors.

The majority of Americans find that taking small moments throughout the day is beneficial to their mental health, according to a new Cleveland Clinic survey.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. Jasmine Bowers has made history as the first-ever African American student to receive a doctorate degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida. On July 15, I became the first black woman to defend a dissertation in computer science at UF, Bowers said. Bowers double majored in Math and Computer Science at Fort Valley State University and earned her masters at North Carolina A&T before receiving his doctorate, Black News said.
