Now, local restaurants, businesses and nightclubs are trying to raise money for the community while keeping social distancing in mind. Below are some local events and fundraising opportunities to give money to non-profit organizations to help keep them running smoothly. Hamburger Maryโs Jacksonville held events last weekend, raising money for the LGBT+ community.
River City Pride to hold largest parade in Jacksonville history this weekend
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - More than 100 organizations are coming out to show their pride and support during Saturday's Pride Parade. This will be the largest show of support that The Bank of America Pride Parade taking has ever seen in our area. The CW-17 (WCWJ) is the Media Sponsor for the 2019 River City Pride Parade and News4Jax reporter Zachery Lashway will be the Grand Marshal of the parade. River City Pride will also feature outdoor activities such as a block party, festival, music, food, drinks and more. Safety is a concern for River City Pride and all who participate in any of the events throughout the weekend.
