The Jacksonville Home + Patio Show returns to Prime Osborn Convention Center for its fall edition from September 30-October 3, 2021. The highly anticipated annual consumer show comes back to the market amid a continued home improvement boom as consumers are investing in upgrades and renovations.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Friday is the final day to receive a second-dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. The vaccine site opened less than two months ago. AdThe Lane Wiley site opens this morning at 9 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. The state-operated vaccination site at the Regency Square Mall is still offering both first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

But anyone who received their first dose at the convention center is asked to return at the same time 28 days later to receive their second Moderna shot. Most who were vaccinated in the first few days were Jacksonville Fire-Rescue employees and those who work for the city of Jacksonville, so they will be returning this week. Florida residents 65 or older and front-line health care workers who have not had their first shot of the vaccine can call 866-200-3762 to make an appointment at Regency.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The city of Jacksonville is into its second week of coronavirus vaccinations at two senior center sites. Now it looks like these senior sites have a limited supply and it is possible they may not be open for much longer. The city only received 11,000 doses of the vaccine designated for the two sites at the Mandarin Senior Center and at the Lane Wiley Senior Center site on the Westside. The city received the vaccine allotment for the senior sites from the Florida Department of Health. The city tells News4Jax it is still working to continue the senior sites in the future in some form.

The health department was swamped with calls Wednesday when it opened a special phone line to take appointments. Elections officials are setting up sites to prepare for the expected crowds Monday when early voting starts in Jacksonville and across most of Florida. It is expected that a new early voting site at the Prime Osborn Convention Center will be one of the most popular of the 20 sites in Duval County, but is causing a stir with a neighboring Northwest Jacksonville neighborhood. People like Schree Gray, who lives near EWC, said moving that site is a problem for voters in that area. It needs to be closer so we could vote, because some of us don’t have cars,” Gray said. Pastor Reginald Gundy has been voicing concern about removal of the site.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The city-sponsored COVID-19 testing site, in partnership with Telescope Health and Baptist Health, will be ending operations at the Prime Osborn Convention Center as testing availability expands throughout Duval County. Wednesday, May 20, is the last day the drive-through testing site will be open.
