Top-ranked Raines and rival Ribault collide on Saturday afternoon in the annual Northwest Classic, one of the best sporting events in the area.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The historic face off on the field, the Northwest Classic, will be pleasant weather-wise this year. Families tailgating for the Raines-Ribault game will enjoy a mild start in the upper 70, warming into the low 80s by the noon hour. There are no chances for rain and the humidity will be low. During the game our temperatures will top out at 86. Post game celebrations will enjoy comfortable temperatures, sinking down from the low 80s into the upper 70s.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Monday was the first day high school football teams in the state of Florida could begin practicing. At Raines and Mandarin, the Vikings and Mustangs began fall practice as defending state champions. Mandarin held practice number one in the parking lot Monday morning. At Raines, the Vikings know what it's like to start the season as the hunted. "We're fully healthy at the quarterback position to start the season, which last year, we weren't.
