The Jacksonville Transportation Authority held a meeting Wednesday to address the ongoing construction that residents along San Pablo Road are calling a headache.

She recently completed a huge exhibit at River City Science Academy’s elementary school. To commemorate the feat, the school hosted a reveal, ribbon cutting and dedication of the mural which features everything RCSA has to offer. Rance rolled over for the event and even got to help with the ribbon cut.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The building of a new charter school in San Pablo is now underway and many community members are not happy about it. The main reason for the dismay — there’s already a public school right across the street. Residents in the area told News4Jax they were shocked and concerned when they learned a new school was being built across the street from Alimacani Elementary School. Everyone is worried about this school coming across the street from our school," said Lisa Britt, PTA President at Alimacani Elementary School. That is the goal," said Catrina Perkins, a teacher at Alimacani Elementary School.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Students at River City Science Academy (RCSA), a public charter school in Jacksonville, created their very own postcards to send to space. The cards are in partnership with STEM organizations and “Club for the Future” to bring students in Florida access to space in the classroom and the opportunity to send postcards to space and back, a release said. “This was a very exciting activity for students at River City Science Academy," Sel Buyuksarac, Chief of Public Affairs and Government Relations/Founder at River City Science Academy, said. JACKSONVILLE, Fla - Students at a Jacksonville charter school are helping parts of the Bahamas that were devastated by Hurricane Dorian. To raise money, students at River City Science Academy came up with an idea to raise funds, allowing other students who would typically wear uniforms the option to "dress down" in clothes that fit their style for $5. Students could choose to donate any additional amount they wished. The school identified Team Rubicon to be the recipient of the funds, an international nonprofit founded by veterans. As an added bonus, Team Rubicon donations were matched by PepsiCo, allowing River City Science Academy to make an even larger impact.
