Licensed businesses located adjacent to or directly on these Riverwalks can now allow patrons to exit their premises with an alcoholic beverage during program hours.To comply with the ordinance, alcoholic beverages must be served in the officially branded 16 oz. Riverwalk to-go cups, which can contain beer, wine, or spirits. Visitors are allowed a maximum of two Riverwalk branded to-go cups at any time.

The evacuations include the towns of Edenville, Sanford and parts of Midland, according to Selina Tisdale, spokeswoman for Midland County. Dow Michigan Operations is working with its tenants and Midland County officials and will continue to closely monitor the water levels on the Tittabawassee River, Schikorra said. The Sanford Dam, which was built in 1925, received a fair condition rating. The Tittabawassee River was at 30.5 feet (9.3 meters) and rising Tuesday night - flood stage is 24 feet (7.3 meters).

A City report says planned repairs won’t be done until April 2020. On Feb. 1, 2015, the second collapse of Liberty Street occurred. Instead of fixing that portion of Liberty Street, it has been demolished along with the parking that was adjacent to the Old Duval County courthouse. Also since the collapse, the old courthouse and City Hall have been leveled.

Staff members with Jacksonville City Councilman Reggie Gaffney's office came out to the Riverwalk, which is in Gaffney's district. By Tuesday evening, a fence, blocking off a part of the Riverwalk near the Landing, had been set up to ensure safety.

But some bricks along the Riverwalk have started to crumble, leaving holes in the walkway. To ensure safety, a fence has been set up, blocking off a part of the Riverwalk near the Landing until the cause of the crumbling can be determined, News4Jax has learned. By Tuesday evening, there was a fence up near the Landing for everyone's safety. Our cameras were there as staff members with Jacksonville City Councilman Reggie Gaffney's office were there to look at the crumbling Riverwalk, which is in Gaffney's district.
