Investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office have arrested two brothers who live at a home that was riddled with bullets during a drive-by shooting in the South Riverside neighborhood, which is just south of San Marco.

Neighbors living along the normally quiet, short and narrow thoroughfare known as Boulder Street in the South Riverside neighborhood near San Marco continue to be on edge following a drive-by shooting reported back on the early morning of Dec. 5.

Davidson Street is one of several streets without stop signs that run east and west between Hendricks Avenue and St. Augustine Road. Only side streets that run parallel to Hendricks Avenue and St. Augustine Road have stop signs. But Sabatier questions whether stop signs will be enough. It’s an example of why some residents believe stop signs may not totally solve the problem. “Stop signs, people don’t really pay attention to that often, and it’s not like a cop can sit here for an entire day and get people," DeFullers said.
