The woman was struck while crossing through a crosswalk by a utility truck near Dondanville Road, according to FHP. The truck driver, who failed to see the pedestrian in the crosswalk before the collision, remained at the scene, FHP said. “The guy who ended up just leaving the store, he was making a left to turn off Dondanville,” said Rafiel Emanuel who works near the crash site. So, you got to really be careful.”Stephanie Meyers owns a home on Dondanville Road and also bikes nearby.

The Lexus overturned and struck a pole and its driver was also taken to Memorial Hospital, but with only minor injuries. All northbound lanes of A1A were blocked for several hours as troopers investigated the crash.

A neighbor and her 21-year-old son were returning from the grocery store when they saw the smoke. Rescuers pulled a man and a large dog from the house, but they could not be revived. Wilkins said Savage and his wife Tami owned the house but he didn’t always stay there, so they were heartbroken when his body was brought out. Next-door neighbor Allan Schaefer said Savage was friendly and courteous and he’s upset he had to die this way.

According to the Highway Patrol, a Honda CRV was traveling south on S.R. A1A, approaching Seascape Circle, as a bicyclist was traveling ahead of the CRV on southbound S.R. The bicyclist then turned left into the roadway and was struck by the vehicle, the Highway Patrol said. The Highway Patrol report shows the driver of the CRV, a 34-year-old Palm Coast woman, was reportedly uninjured, but taken to Flagler Hospital as a precaution.

Hazmat crews neutralized the sulfuric acid solution spill by 2:30 p.m., and the Florida Department of Transportation reopened a portion of A1A by 5:30 p.m., Flagler County officials said. We don’t know how long all of that will take," Flagler County Public Safety Emergency Manager Steve Garten said Thursday. The Flagler Beach Public Works Department had the shoulder barricaded Friday as TME was still on site, said Flagler Beach City Manager Larry Newsom. Flagler Beach police are investigating the spill and charges against the driver of the truck are pending.
