Marilyn Foshee and Julie Foshee-Knowell died in the past week, a TCA representative said. Family members, friends and parents of Trinity students posted condolences on social media, praising the educators for their kindness, dedication and compassion. Daughter Julie the preschool director – began as an assistant when she was a teenager and rose the ranks. The school said the nursery was closed after an unrelated employee tested positive nearly two weeks after Thanksgiving break.

Nearby school districts in Marion, Suwannee and Gilchrist counties also decided to close schools on Thursday. Bradford CountyThe Bradford County School District confirmed that all schools will be closed Thursday due to the potential concerns from Tropical Storm Eta.

About an hour after he was escorted off campus, police say he posted two videos containing threats to school officials. The vice principal, knowing Ellison was banned from school property, said he repeatedly refused to release the child to Ellison. The vice principal told investigators the incident left him worried about his own safety as well as that of students and staff. It was supposed to open Monday, the same day Jacksonville's public schools began the new year. But lightning from severe storms Sunday night knocked out power to the school on Hammond Boulevard. Parents were notified by text and social media early Monday morning that the school would not open Monday. Makeup days for the three-day closure are scheduled for Nov. 11, Nov. 27 and Jan. 6.
