A Tornado Watch covering Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia counties has expired.

As the impending severe storm is expected to bring heavy winds and rains with the possibility of tornados, residents and business owners are doing what’s needed to protect their properties.

These isolated strong-to-severe storms will bring the threat of heavy downpours, tornadoes, and small hail from noon to sunset tomorrow.

Locally heavy rainfall and the possibility of a severe weather threat have prompted a Weather Authority Alert for Saturday, possibly stretching into Sunday morning.

The threat of strong to severe storms is increasing across all of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.

Severe Weather Alert from 6am - 10am. A strong cold front will push through area early tomorrow with wind, hail and tornadoes possible with numerous thunderstorms.

After a cold few weeks, we are heading into yet another cold weekend.

Last Thursday, we had a Weather Authority Alert Day (WAAD) and “boom” it was a wild day. Two rounds of bad weather merged into one messy day. Rainfall was widespread and there were a few severe thunderstorm warnings for gusty winds and very heavy downpours. Rainfall amounts were basically between 1-2″.

More impressive maybe the winds as gusts of wind will reach 25-30 mph and along the Coast a few gusts may reach 40 mph.
