Dr. Terrie Andrews, system administrator for Baptist Behavioral Health and Wolfson Children’s Behavioral Health, says her department has seen a 300% increase in the amount of behavioral health emergency admissions, a 40% increase in calls to the office and a 20% increase in new outpatients. A child was hospitalized over the weekend with serious injuries that investigators said they believe was the result of child abuse by a man who was watching the child. Timothy Cassel, 19, was arrested Sunday on a first-degree felony charge of aggravated child abuse. According to the arrest report, the child was injured sometime between Friday and Saturday evening while being watched by Cassel. According to the report, a church member was checking on Cassel’s wellbeing when he woke up Cassel from his sleep. The report states that when Cassel woke up, he uttered that he had shaken and abused a child.

The helicopter is dedicated solely to infants and children, with a flight crew that’s highly trained and has advanced medical capabilities. The Kids Kare helicopter is the latest addition to the Wolfson Children’s Critical Care Transport Fleet, which is also comprised of a fixed-wing airplane and three Kids Kare Mobile ICUs. “As the region’s only state-designated pediatric trauma center, we are committed to caring for the most vulnerable children of all ages,” said Wolfson Children’s Hospital President Michael D. None of the movie theaters are open right now so it’ll be a fun experience.”The group plans to show “Back to the Future” to about 60 people who donated nearly $800 to Wolfson Children’s Hospital. The group plans to show classic movies like “Goonies” and “Ferris Buller’s Day Off.”The group is not selling tickets for the events, but they are asking for free-will donations.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 45-year-old woman was shot and killed Wednesday evening in the Goodby’s Creek neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. “We knew the neighbor, tried to go in,” neighbor Jane Parkinson said. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office dive team van and a couple of police vehicles could be seen Thursday at the home in Goodby's Creek. According to city records and other neighbors, a family moved into the home about two years ago after doing major renovations on the house. “They made terrific improvements to the property they bought and basically have been rather diligent -- to me, model neighbors,” neighbor Paul Heck said.
