Thousands of Xfinity customers are experiencing an outage Thursday night across St. Johns County.

Hackers accessed Xfinity customers’ personal information by exploiting a vulnerability in software used by the company, the Comcast-owned telecommunications business announced this week.

News4JAX learned around 12:15 p.m. that customers should be back online soon, according to a Twitter reply to a customer from Xfinity.
