The State Attorneys Office says Zakariya Clarke, 29, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempted murder and human trafficking. Clarke was accused of pimping multiple young women into prostitution, getting them addicted to drugs.

A 29-year-old jail inmate in Clay County was served a warrant Wednesday for attempted murder and human trafficking charges out of Duval County. Zakariya Clarke has been in jail in Clay County since his arrest in December 2020 for possession of a weapon, burglary and attempted murder.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – Two people are charged with attempted second-degree murder after a home invasion in the Woodbridge Crossing neighborhood of Clay County, authorities said. On Dec. 5, according to an arrest report, Craft and Clarke forced their way into a home with intentions to rob the victims. Armed with a pistol, Clarke fired five rounds toward the victims, according to detectives. Jacksonville police said the two were found weeks earlier with a stolen pistol in a stolen car. As of Monday, both Craft and Clarke were being held in the Clay County jail.
