But she has posted multiple signs outside before parents walk in to let them know when it’s not safe to bring their children inside. “We need a doctor’s note saying that they are clear to come back to daycare before we will allow them to come back,” Walker told News4Jax. Though Walker typically sees about 26 children walk through the gates at Kiddie Korner, it’s been unusually quiet lately. One mother said she pulled her daughter out of day care for two reasons: health and civic responsibility.

SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. – A Florida mother was shocked to find her young son’s day care had written on his stomach in black ink to remind her to bring more diapers, WPLG reports. Heather Chisum posted photos of her son Milo to Facebook after she found the Sanibel Island day care’s message on the boy’s tummy. But while changing Milo’s diaper after bringing him home Monday, Chisum noticed the message written in magic marker. “In the very worst case scenario, I can’t see anything other than “need diapers” needing to be written.” wrote Chisum. In her post, Chisum asked whether she was over-exaggerating in her anger, but nearly everyone who commented backed her up wholeheartedly.

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – A precautionary boil water notice issued for parts of Green Cove Springs after a contractor damaged a city water main has been canceled. The water main was at the intersection of U.S. 17 and State Road 16, city officials said. The notice applied to water customers at:Speedway and Cove Plaza at the corner of U.S. 17 and SR 16Elks Lodge, Hickory Grove Baptist Church and Day Care4630 County Road 209 South Rolling DieThe water had to be shut off while repairs were made to the water main, and after water flow was restored, samples had to come back clear of bacteria before officials could lift the boil water notice. The notice went into effect at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and was lifted Friday. City water is safe to drink, officials said.
