A Clay County woman who was arrested and accused of attempted second-degree murder of a law enforcement officer following an alleged shootout with Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Tuesday is a school district who is currently under investigation after she was accused of improper use of school funds.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office took a woman into custody after a shooting involving at least three deputies at the Holly Hill Cemetery on Old Jennings Road at around 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday.
