Webb said the resource officer at Camden County Middle School won’t speak with her or Cason. Camden County Schools released a statement that reads:“Out of respect for student privacy, Camden County Schools does not publicly offer comment on any student-specific questions or concerns. Camden County Schools is committed to meeting the diverse needs of our 9,000 students in a safe, equitable, and nurturing learning environment. Webb said she and the child’s mother are working with the Camden County Sheriff’s Office to file a report.

All middle school athletic and extra-curricular activities will be canceled during the closure. Middle school students will return to classrooms on Nov. 30. “We have 11 staff members at one school and 20 staff members at another school,” confirmed Page Coker with Ware County Schools. The cooperation of staff members who are asked to quarantine will be helpful in avoiding any further closures.

AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The football teams at two St. Johns County middle schools had planned to meet on the gridiron Wednesday night, but the game was postponed after at least seven players on Freedom Crossing Academy’s team were found to have come in close contact with a positive case of COVID-19. Posted by Saint Johns Middle School Athletic Association on Wednesday, October 14, 2020The decision to postpone the game was handed down by the St. Johns Middle School Athletics Association, the independent, private non-profit corporation which organizes and runs many of the St. Johns County School District’s middle school athletics programs. “We have also mirrored the school district’s policies on quarantine.”The commissioner said the decision to cancel the game was made out of caution. “Out of an abundance of caution, however, we have decided to postpone tonight’s game between Mill Creek Academy and Freedom Crossing Academy.”Cutler added that the game will likely be made up in two weeks and that it will likely be played and billed as a bowl game.
