Day one of camp is in the books. I think we all can agree that the top storyline is Trevor Lawrence.

Trevor Lawrence was known for having the best hair in college football. In the NFL earning that title hasn’t been as easy. Lawrence has been in a heated battle for the best hair on the Jaguars roster.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – We’re running out of ways to discuss the Jaguars' struggles, and we’re only in mid-October. Jacksonville gave up more than 30 points for the fifth straight week in a 34-16 loss to the Lions on Sunday. TerribleThis was one of the worst performances I’ve seen from the Jaguars in a long time. Facing a team giving up a league-worst 170 yards per game on the ground, the Jaguars managed just 44 rushing yards. After a lost 2019, Cole continued to play week, catching six passes for 143 yards against the Lions.

What’s better: beards or mustaches? On Tuesday, Fitzpatrick playfully called out Minshew, saying his beard was far cooler than Minshew’s mustache. I was thinking, ‘This dude does have a really good beard.’ But you can’t beat a 'stache though,” said Jaguars defensive end Josh Allen. Ten different Jaguars caught passes, and he settled into a rhythm in the second quarter. This was the kind of game that Jaguars fans deserved to enjoy after the last two years.

The Jaguars are Gardner Minshews team now. Both ESPN and Pro Football Focus have projected the Jaguars to be the leagues worst team. You know, I think we do have a lot to prove. You know, prove that we're not what anybody says about us. Minshew went on to start 12 games and went 6-6.

The Jaguars didn't need it in their 29-15 win over the New York Jets. I've been interested to see just how Minshew would evolve after a couple of uneven weeks against the Saints and Bengals. The win puts the Jaguars at 4-4 heading into a tough divisional game against the Texans in London. Minshew continues to play at a high level. Foles is eligible to come off of injured reserve in the Jaguars' game at Indianapolis on Nov. 17.
