JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Coastal and tidal waterways really have seen the worst of it with the intracoastal as flooded as we have seen without a hurricane. High tide flooding will fade but only slowly with some areas likely to still flood for the next week. Biggest tides were on Sunday with Saturday, Monday and Tuesday a very close second, third and fourth. Highest winds were on Monday, with many locations seeing wind gusts to 40 mph. The highest gust was on Saturday with a peak gust of 49 mph at Marineland.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Massive autumn high pressure to dominate the eastern United States this weekend, sounds great, except if you live along the coastline of Georgia into Central Florida. With a super-sized high pressure to our north and general lower than normal air pressure all around Jacksonville. So, that’s high pressure north and low pressure to the south, the greater the difference, the greater the coastal winds. There will be also be a possibility of another coastal tropical low pressure that could form within the battle field of high and low pressure. Wilfred will likely develop from TD #21 in the far, far, far eastern Atlantic Ocean.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla - Showers and a wave of more widespread rain are spreading across our area from the southwest towards the northeast. Expect damp conditions on Friday evening. The most widespread rain will be from Gainesville to Palatka and Orange Park. Monday the Nor'easter starts to lessen it's grip on our area, but will still see partly sunny skies, northeasterly winds around 10 mph, and decent chances for showers. The chances for rain look more widespread on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday as we hit the low 90s for afternoon highs.
