Authorities say a man who wounded 12 people in an attack on a group holding their weekly demonstration for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza had planned to kill them all but appeared to have second thoughts.

Demonstrators with the group Run for Their Lives have staged events around the world calling for the release of hostages held by Hamas since 2023.

Authorities say a man posed as a gardener before launching an attack in Boulder with Molotov cocktails that injured 12 people.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two men were injured in a shooting Sunday in Northwest Jacksonville, police said. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, police were called around 4:30 p.m. to shots fired on Pearl Street near Tallulah Avenue. Shortly after, according to JSO, two men showed up at an area hospital with non-life-threatening injures -- one with a gunshot wound to the face and the other with a gunshot wound to the foot. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A section of Pearl Street will be shut down Monday afternoon while crews from JEA do work in the area on a broken gas line. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the road was shut down between 15th and 18th street around 11 a.m. and will be closed for several hours. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue said a hazmat team responded after a broken gas line and water main break was reported.
