After a yearlong search, the Sundance Film Festival announced Thursday that its new home will be Boulder, Colorado, keeping Sundance in the mountains but moving it out of Park City, the Utah ski town that had for decades provided the premiere independent film gathering its picturesque snowy backdrop.

Police said a man was shot and killed by his girlfriend early Saturday morning at a home on Teresa Avenue in the Norwood area, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

The long-awaited JEA customer service center officially opens Monday on Adams and Pearl Street, and the goal is to create an easy experience for its customers.

Police said it appears someone doused the man with some type of lighter fluid and then sit him on fire.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two men were injured in a shooting Sunday in Northwest Jacksonville, police said. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, police were called around 4:30 p.m. to shots fired on Pearl Street near Tallulah Avenue. Shortly after, according to JSO, two men showed up at an area hospital with non-life-threatening injures -- one with a gunshot wound to the face and the other with a gunshot wound to the foot. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A section of Pearl Street will be shut down Monday afternoon while crews from JEA do work in the area on a broken gas line. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the road was shut down between 15th and 18th street around 11 a.m. and will be closed for several hours. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue said a hazmat team responded after a broken gas line and water main break was reported.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Over 100 Jacksonville police officers and detectives continue to actively search for a 5-year-old girl reported missing Wednesday morning from the Brentwood area.
