Creekside graduate and two-time All-News4JAX track and field athlete of the year Christian Miller announced on Friday morning that he is bound for the professional running circuit.

Christian Miller, fresh out of high school, put on a dazzling showing at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials on Sunday night, but missed out on qualifying for the Games by the blink of an eye.

Christian Miller ran a 10.22 in the 100-meter dash at the US Olympic Team Trials on Saturday night in Eugene, Oregon, finishing fifth in his heat and advancing to the semifinals.

The biggest change is capping race entries at 8,000 for the marquee 15K event. The Gate River Run has been televised live on WJXT for years. Harroufi later failed two drug tests by USADA, including one at the River Run on March 7, and his results were scrubbed from the list. • All participants and volunteers must check their temperature on race morning prior to coming to race.
