A Duval County School Board member is speaking out to the News4JAX this evening about Florida’s NEW controversial educational standards for African American Studies and how the new curriculum could be rolled out into local schools.

The State Board of Education on Wednesday approved new academic standards for instruction about African American history, after numerous teachers from across Florida objected to the changes and asked the board to put the proposal on hold.

The UNF Department of Chemistry recently unveiled a new addition to improve teaching and research. They also announced a partnership with Johnson & Johnson Vision to support chemistry students.
