While a cyberattack in Jacksonville Beach may be surprising, what is also surprising is the number of attempts by hackers to break into JEA's electric and water supply. News4JAX has learned there have been close to 900,000 attempts in just one day to try and break into JEA computers.

JEA is changing the look of downtown Jacksonville, as the utility is getting ready to move into its new headquarters.

JEA has disbursed more than $1.5 million in utility assistance to residents in Northeast Florida, and the utility has additional funds available to help families in need.

After News4Jax received several calls Wednesday about issues with JEA's phone lines, the city-owned utility acknowledged it was working to resolve the problems as quickly as possible.
