Two locations on State Road 23 in the area of the First Coast Expressway South project will be the sites of overnight detours this week, the Florida Department of Transportation announced Monday.

- Monday and Friday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.: there will be full closure of northbound and southbound State Road 23 from Argyle Forest Boulevard to Oakleaf Plantation Parkway in Clay County to allow traffic shift work on State Road 23. Detour onto Oakleaf Plantation Parkway for north-south travel.
- Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.: There will be full closure of northbound and southbound State Road 23 from Argyle Forest Boulevard to 103rd Street in Duval County for installation of toll gantry structure. Detour onto Old Middleburg Road South for north-south travel.
Once completed, this FCE South project will become part of an 18-mile-long SunPass-administered toll road that connects Interstate 10/U.S. 90 in Duval County to Blanding Boulevard, or State Road 21, in Clay County.
This project involves the section of the FCE from north of Argyle Forest Boulevard to Blanding Boulevard, or State Road 21, in Middleburg, connecting to two other FCE projects, both north of this site.
Work on the 6-mile-long project began in May 2014 at an estimated cost of $85 million.
