JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A police officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was hospitalized after a crash Wednesday evening on Wilson Boulevard, just west of Blanding Boulevard.
The crash occurred at about 4:54 p.m., according to Lt. D.E Pellot. As the driver of the cruiser was heading west on Wilson, the driver of another vehicle, a Chevrolet HHR turned into the path of the officer and caused the crash.

The officer was hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatning injuries, Pellot said. He was not responding to a call. The other driver was not hurt.
It's unclear if the other driver in the crash will receive a citation.
