JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two people were killed Tuesday night in a head-on collision on Interstate 10 eastbound near Roosevelt Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said a black SUV was traveling west in the eastbound lanes. A white Volkswagen was traveling eastbound in the left lane when the vehicles collided shortly after 8:30 p.m. Both drivers died.

The driver of the SUV was identified as a 71-year-old man. The driver of the Volkswagen was said to be a 57-year-old man. The FHP did not release their names, but said next of kin had been notified.
Both men were Jacksonville residents.
