JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville police are asking for the community’s help to find an SUV that was involved in a hit-and-run that sent a pedestrian to the hospital.
Police said the crash happened just after 7:50 p.m. May 3 on 8th Street near Myrtle Avenue North.

Investigators said a pedestrian was crossing the street when they were struck by the silver SUV (pictured above). The SUV sustained passenger-side front-end damage, and the driver did not stop to help the pedestrian, who was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The SUV was last seen traveling north on the ramp to I-95 from 8th Street, police said.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to find the vehicle and identify the driver.
