JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 15-year-old driver was killed Sunday night in a crash on I-95 northbound near J. Turner Butler Boulevard, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The agency added that the driver of the other involved vehicle, a white Honda Civic, ran from the scene and remains unaccounted for.
According to the crash report, the 15-year-old was driving a black Toyota Tacoma north on I-95 with a 16-year-old passenger beside them around 9 p.m. Sunday.
FHP said the truck was then hit from behind by the white Honda Civic, which caused the Tacoma to roll over and injure the 15-year-old, who would later die from his injuries at the hospital.

Neither teen was wearing a seat belt nor was the vehicle’s passenger injured, FHP said.
