Dense fog could be an issue through the morning commute Wednesday for people in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
Drivers should be aware and take their time.
One area that saw a good amount of fog to start the day was along Blanding Boulevard in Middleburg.
It was not terrible but enough to make people slow down.
The fog comes at the early end of the busy holiday travel season.
To help keep people safe, AAA is using GPS alerts to prevent roadside crashes and deaths.
Drivers who use Google Maps and Waze for GPS can get alerts if roadside technicians or crews are in the area where they are heading.
That will give drivers a heads-up to either slow down or move over.
According to AAA, the roadside assistance company responds to more than 30 million calls for help in the United States every year, which comes out to a call every 2 seconds.
AAA also says two emergency responders are killed every month in America.
The dense fog advisory for Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia is in effect through 10 a.m. Wednesday.
