JACKSONVILLE,Fla. – A motorcyclist died Thursday night after striking a concrete pole on Kings Avenue, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said the motorcyclist failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and struck a concrete pole.

JSO said speed may have been a factor in the crash.
The driver was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Detectives are investigating and are working to determine all circumstances surrounding the crash.
This is the 18th traffic fatality, and the seventh involving a motorcycle, in 2025.
