JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Middleburg woman was killed early Thursday morning in a crash on the Buckman Bridge, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Rashelle Shiloah Kirsch, 27, was driving south on the bridge at 6:50 a.m. when she lost control of her Chevrolet Tahoe just before the morning rush hour. Troopers said her SUV crossed all four lanes of the bridge before slamming into the inside barrier wall.

Kirsch was taken to Orange Park Medical Center, where she died.

Troopers blocked two lanes of traffic for four hours while the accident was under investigation. According to the FHP report, Kirsch was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
