JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 60-year-old man was hit and killed Tuesday morning while crossing Airport Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The man, later identified as James Schupolsky, was not in a crosswalk, troopers said.

The 60-year-old female driver was headed east on Airport Road in her Honda CR-V when Schupolsky crossed toward Duval Road and she was unable to avoid hitting him, according to the FHP report.
The crash blocked all lanes of Airport Road at Duval Road around 6:20 a.m. Lanes reopened just before 10 a.m.
