DCPS says it reviewed ‘comparable’ salary rates across Florida before making counteroffer

After the Duval County school board presented the counteroffer for incoming Superintendent Dr. Chris Bernier’s $350,000 salary proposal, the DCPS chair said it’s normal to have back and forth during contract negotiations.
