Florida is a closed Primary state, which means that only voters registered within a political party may vote in that party’s Primary Election. However, regardless of party affiliation, all Duval County voters have something to cast ballots for during the Primary, including non-partisan races like judges and school board members.
Early voting begins Monday, Aug. 5, and lasts until Sunday, Aug. 18. The 24 early voting polling sites are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can see a complete list of early voting locations at duvalelections.gov.
Voters can also request a vote-by-mail ballot but must do so by 5 p.m. Aug. 8.
