What do you see as the top three issues in this race, and how do you plan to address them?

Challenges face the office of County Judge due to the public’s loss of faith in and respect for our justice system, which is driven by perceptions of unfairness, inequality, and disparity. As Baker County Judge, I will uphold and enforce high standards of conduct, to which I adhere personally. To enhance the credibility of our local justice system, I will ensure that the constitution, statutes, and case law are consistently applied to each case, while treating people with respect.

How can you help voters in a way that others running for this office cannot?

I am a lifelong resident of Baker County and have served the citizens of Baker County as an integral part of our criminal justice system for over 21 years. I have helped clients, witnesses and victims navigate the criminal justice system. I have more experience, both in the number of years as an attorney and cases handled, than my opponent. As such, I am uniquely familiar with the citizens of Baker County and I am uniquely qualified to serve as Baker County Judge.

What would you hope to be remembered for accomplishing after serving in this office?

I hope to remembered as a Judge who followed the law while treating all people fairly, equally, and with dignity and respect; I hope that my service will help restore the public’s faith in our justice system.
