Republican Chuck Brannan is seeking re-election in this legislative district, which covers Baker, Bradford, Columbia and Union counties, and part of Alachua County. He faces Democrat Robert “Bobby” Brady.
Because there is only one candidate from each party in the district, the race only appears on the general election ballot in November.

What do you see as the top three issues in this race, and how do you plan to address them?
A) Affordable insurance: require any insurer who sells auto insurance to offer home and business as well. This was the law until changed by the republican super majority &
Ban political donations from insurance companies.
B) Protect a women’s right to medical privacy : continue to support and campaign for the passage of ammendment 4.
C) Protect our water ,( springs,rivers and lakes): currently billioaire developers and Corporate mega farms pump unlimited water from our aquafer for free and dump their chemical runnoff into our waterways with no consequence. I would require poluters to clean up their mess or pay fines and set reasonable fees for extreme water use .
How can you help voters in a way that others running for this office cannot?
As a working man and non-millionaire I share the concerns of those I wish to serve , I Will work tirelessly to lower the cost of rents and utilities , and install solar lights to all county roads, to drastically reduce the number of accidents involving pedestrians and wildlife .As a Conservative and pro Business Democrat I believe in and will protect the second amendment and will help create real opportunities for financial freedom. I also believe your child has a right to attend school without being shot. I support banning gun ownership for those on the terrorist watch list, those on the no fly list and for the mentality ill. And i believe paying taxes isn’t just for the working class . My name is Bobby and I’m asking for your vote . Thank you
What would you hope to be remembered for accomplishing after serving in this office?
Breaking the chokehold the billioaire class has over our legislation via the republican super majority. Using common sense solutions for real working class problems and never turning anyone away based on party affiliation or personal wealth .
