Voters in three Putnam County communities will face choices in the general election, for city officials or a referendum question.
In Palatka, two seats on the Palatka City Commission are on the ballot this year, for Group 1 and Group 3. Two candidates are running in each race. These elections are non-partisan and open to all voters in Palatka city limits.

In Crescent City, voters will choose a mayor and two city commission members, in Group 3 and Group 4. These races are also non-partisan, and limited to Crescent City voters.
While Welaka does not have any offices up for election on this year’s November ballot, there is a question for voters about the town charter.

Town of Welaka - Referendum Question 1
Voters in Welaka will be asked to make a decision on a referendum that would adopt a new town charter. According to the ordinance that put the question on the ballot, a charter review committee spent nearly three years developing recommended changes to the charter, and finalized its efforts in June.
Shall the Town Charter be amended to provide for: Replacing provisions outdated, unnecessary or conflicting with State Law; appointing a Town Manager; a Council-Manager Relationship; Municipal, Council, Town Manager and Town Clerk powers/duties; a Police Department; appointing a Chief of Police; Merit System; Council Member qualifications; election procedures; election cycle; Council meeting procedures; filling council vacancies; initiatives, referendums and charter amendments; Council Member removal; transition under amended charter; and other changes provided in Exhibit A, Ordinance 2024-03?
