2024 Voter's Guide: East Flagler Mosquito Control District

No description found

The East Flagler Mosquito Control District covers nearly 130 square miles in the eastern half of Flagler County, including the communities of Palm Coast, Bunnell, Marineland, Beverly Beach, and Flagler Beach, serving more than 85,000 residents. It was created by the Flagler County Board of Commissioners in 1952, with a mission to suppress mosquitoes that can cause illness, with minimal environmental impact. The district can raise revenue through property taxes to fund its operations.

All three seats on the district’s board are up for election, though only two of the seats are contested. They will appear on the November ballot for voters within the district.
