JACKSONVUILLE, Fla. – Maybe the best part of Friday will be the Gaughan Gauge, it will be a “9”, nice!
Not a “10”, as there will be some Southern Showers. St. Johns, Clay, Putnam and Flagler counties will have the greatest chances of showers. These showers will develop around the lunch hours and track inland and southward. Northeasterly winds will develop and help keep temperatures down. Afternoon highs on Friday will be in the mid 80s.

The outlook for the weekend will be for even drier, not dry days.
Afternoon highs will be in the 80s both days as northeast winds will continue. These northeast winds will chop up our surf and cause some significant rip currents.
The next big threat of rain won’t likely take place until the middle of next week as a gyre of deep tropical moisture may spawn one or more tropical cyclones.
More on that possibility next week.
